Service Description

Prerequisite: AKC FIT Dog Level 2 Engage in a variety of fun fitness activities for mental and physical stimulation, and increased strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular health. Course completion can be applied toward an AKC FIT Dog title. Dogs must be 12 months of age or older with a clean bill of health and no significant prior injuries. This class is not appropriate for physical therapy or rehabilitation, for dogs in pain, morbidly obese dogs, or for puppies. Skills to be covered in our 6 sessions: All four paws on balance equipment Figure-eight around cones Bow to stand on balance equipment Spin left and right on balance equipment Pivot to sidestepping Tuck sit to kick back stand on balance equipment Elevated nose touch on balance equipment Sidestepping Rear limb stretch Down-stand-down on balance equipment Ipsilateral target We'll use the following equipment (I provide for your use during class): Klimb platforms (with legs of varying heights and configurations)* Propel air platforms* Balance pads Cones Rubber targets Class will meet from 6:30-7:30pm on Thursdays starting February 6. *Available for purchase
